Our Mission Statement

The mission of Fast Forward Charter High School is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where students who may be at risk of not completing high school requirements can be challenged with curriculum presented to accommodate their unique learning styles. Our primary goals are to help students discover their academic potential and furnish them with the tools to promote lifelong learning and civic responsibility.

Whether you are a member of Fast Forward’s educational community, considering attending our school or simply surfing the Internet, it is our desire that you find this site filled with helpful information. Fast Forward’s three-fold learning program allows administration, counselors, and teachers to work together with each individual student to design and implement the most effective plan for the student’s educational success based on his/her needs, experience, and educational goals.

Classroom Work

Highly qualified and licensed teachers guide classroom discussions and provide appropriate coursework to help students achieve state curriculum standards.

Directed Studies

A computer-based directed studies program allows students to earn credit in core classes at their own pace while being closely tracked by a program facilitator who monitors their progress and offers individual assistance to students.

Concurrent Enrollment

Students have the opportunity to earn both high school and college credits as they receive instruction via classes that are offered via satellite through Utah State University Distant Education, as well as taught on-site by highly qualified teachers.

In addition to academic growth, an essential component of a student’s educational experience at FFCHS focuses on their social and emotional development. Through the teaching and modeling of character education traits our staff is able to create a community of virtue… where behaviors such as respect, honesty, kindness, hard work and self-control are promoted explicitly. Through character education, we hope to instill in each student a lifelong love of learning, strong self-esteem, ethical values, and a respect and appreciation for diversity.
